Hybrid clouds

Hybrid clouds are environments in which a public and a private cloud interact and combine. They have as a feature the advantage that you can make use of the best qualities of each cloud type.

In this sense, companies that operate in a hybrid cloud environment are able to take their local infrastructure to the public cloud magnitude to perform diverse basic functions, safeguarding their local infrastructure in the same company with firewall security.

The integration and interaction between public and private cloud gives certain advantages to the company such as, payment only for the public cloud use, managing jobs in batches, achieving a better management of economic and informatics resources without losing control of its local infrastructure.

Elements of a hybrid cloud: :

A typical hybrid cloud presents an infrastructure that includes a public platform of infrastructure as a service (laaS), a data center or private cloud and access to a network, whether local (LAN) or wide area (WAN).

In practice, any organization can make use of a hybrid cloud to host its most sensitive information locally, with security and scalability, and for those data that are not so important for the company, it can do so in a public cloud, creating an infrastructure that allow collaboration between both environments.

Characteristics of a hybrid cloud :

Hybrid clouds offer users the following features:

Economy: Public clouds offer savings in costs, so if the infrastructure is properly established, without impairing the security of sensitive information, you will have substantial money saving in operations.

Security: Keeping the most important company’s data well protected in the private cloud, information security is strengthened, orienting the least sensitive ones to the public cloud.

Scalability: The public cloud allows scaling with less limits the company’s information. It has a greater storage and transaction resource.

Flexibility: By having the best features of the public and private cloud, organizations have different operational channels to explore different solutions to the information management problem.

It is important to note that, when choosing a hybrid cloud design, the company must consolidate an infrastructure that allows the management of the different resources between both clouds (public and private), or otherwise, far from being a solutions source, it will become a problems reservoir.

For this reason, you should pay particular attention to the hybrid cloud service provider selection, as it must create the ideal infrastructure that allows for successful interaction between the public and private cloud.

Among these companies, Cibersys, a global telecommunications brand focused on the development of infrastructure and products in the cloud (hybrid and multi-cloud), is presented as an alternative to be considered by the Latin American corporate sector.
